This roof was a perfect example that more vents doesn't equate to better ventilation.  Vents that are misplaced can conflict with one another leading to a deteriorated shingle, ice damning problems and uncomfortable interior temperatures.  

We tore the roof down to the deck and replaced decking that was rotten.  Removing all of the old misplaced vents we redesigned the ventilation system to a working model with a continuous ridge vent.  The new shingle is an Impact Resistant Shingle from Owens Corning in the color Teak.  Did you know that by adding an Impact Resistant Shingle most homeowners receive a discount from their insurance company?
